Listing the Most Repetitive Songs Ever Recorded Recorded Recorded

Love 'em or hate 'em, simplicity has its place in music. Yeah, just say the same thing over and over. As long as it's catchy, who cares? With that in mind, here are a list of songs that are wildly repetitive.

1. "Surfin Bird" by The Trashmen, 1963. That whole "papa-um-mow-mow" thing kinda goes on forever.
2. "Best of You" by the Foo Fighters, 2005. Maybe Dave Grohl was in a lyrical slump, but "The best, the best, the best, the best of you" is a little on the dry side.
3. "Every Picture Tells a Story" by Rod Stewart, 1971. Again, the title repeated over and over again. And then he breaks it up by putting little "woos" in between the title which is again incessantly continued.
4. "Give it Away", by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, 1991. Same-o, same-o.
5. "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'" by Journey, 1979. They kind of overdo it with the "Na-na-nas".
6. "Hey Jude" by the Beatles, 1968. Did they really need to end on a FOUR-MINUTE refrain?  It's longer than the rest of the song! Hey Jude, you're grown up by the end of the song!
7. "Ain't No Sunshine" by Bill Withers, 1971. It's only a two-minute song, yet Bill manages to say "I know" 26 TIMES IN A ROW.
8. "I'm Your Captain/Closer to Home" by Grand Funk Railroad, 1970. Mark Farner (or, "the wild shirtless lyrics of Mark Farner as Homer Simpson once professed) sings "I'm getting closer to my home" for so long, you kind of doubt the truthfulness of his statement.
9. "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" by Devo, 1978. (Rolling Stones cover) They say "Baby" even more than Bill Withers says "I know" in "Ain't No Sunshine".
10. "Small Town" by John Mellencamp, 1985. We get it, John ... everything that happened to you happened in a small town.
