We’re still a week and a half away from Lollapalooza. However, the fact that this year’s version of the festival hasn’t taken place yet isn’t stopping its organizers from announcing the dates of 2013′s festival.

Maybe that seems a bit strange, but we are talking about Lollapalooza, which has been known to sell out before bands have even been announced. Still, based on local billboards spotted by Chicago-based Consequence of Sound, the 2013 Lollapalooza will take place on Aug. 2-4, 2013.

The dates shouldn’t come as a surprise to anybody. Ever since the festival was re-tooled as a single destination event in 2005, it has taken place during the first weekend of August in Grant Park along the shores of Lake Michigan in beautiful downtown Chicago.

C3 Presents, the company that promotes Lollapalooza, has a contract with the city to host the festival through 2018, so we’ll take this news even one step further and suggest that Lollapalooza 2014 will most likely be held on Aug. 1-3. Mark your calendars accordingly.

But getting back to the present for a moment, the 2012 Lollapalooza will be headlined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Black Keys, Black Sabbath and Jack White. The full lineup can be found here.
