Couldn't we all use a little more metal in late night? Well, then you might want to tune in to Late Night With Seth Meyers next week, as Megadeth will be one of the guests, while current Suicidal Tendencies and former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo is sitting in with the house band.

Megadeth will appear on Late Night on Thursday, Dec. 15. The iconic metallers have enjoyed quite a spectacular year with the release of their Dystopia album and heavy touring. They were just nominated for a Best Metal Performance Grammy earlier this week for the title track from the Dystopia album. Things are slowing down at the end of the year, but you can keep up with the band's touring here.

As for Lombardo, he will be sitting in as the drummer for the Late Night With Seth Meyers house band. Meyers' former Saturday Night Live castmate Fred Armisen drummed with the house band when the Late Show launched, but due to his other commitments, Meyers has employed a number of rock drummers to do week-long residencies. Lombardo, one of the top drummers in metal, will take a turn behind the kit this coming week.

In addition to answering the call for Suicidal Tendencies, Dave Lombardo has his own band Dead Cross and he sat in for the Misfits reunion with Glenn Danzig during their handful of shows. So be sure to tune in to Late Night With Seth Meyers the week of Dec. 12 to get your late night metal fix.
