The friends and family of Lemmy Kilmister are giving fans the chance to witness the late Motörhead frontman's memorial service.

Lemmy will be laid to rest today (Jan. 9) during a private service at the Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in L.A. However, due to the generosity of the singer’s loved ones, fans everywhere will be able to watch the memorial service, which will stream live at 5 p.m. ET in the video player at the top of the page. Fans in L.A. also plan to gather at the Rainbow Bar & Grill on the Sunset Strip -- one of Lemmy’s favorite haunts -- to pay their respects and watch the memorial broadcast.

“With such limited space available on-site, we respectfully ask you don’t attend the cemetery,” Motörhead wrote in a statement to their Facebook, “but we want you ALL to be a part of this, so we are setting up a live feed of the service.”

“So wherever you are, PLEASE get together and watch the service with fellow Motörheadbangers and friends,” the message reads. “GO to your favorite bar, or your favorite club, make sure they have access to an internet connection and toast along with us. Or simply invite your pals around and celebrate Lemm’s life at home.”

The Motörhead leader passed on Dec. 28 days after he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. He was 70 years old. You can find more information regarding the memorial service at this location.
