It's no secret Metallica are one of the biggest bands in the world, capable of headlining massive arenas and stadiums worldwide. This year, however, they've been keen on returning now and then to the smaller stages they cut their teeth on and have announced another intimate gig at the Fonda Theatre in Hollywood, Calif. on Dec. 15.

Tickets will be sparse and in high demand and Metallica fan club members have the first crack at landing tickets for this special event as the band begins their lengthy support behind Hardwired... To Self-Destruct.

Pre-sale tickets will begin tomorrow (Friday) at 9AM for just one hour and fan club members can enter a contest which will allow them to purchase up to two tickets at the specially discounted price of $25. Winners of this pre-sale event will receive an email with a personal code by 5PM PT later today (Dec. 8), as well as additional information on how to purchase these tickets. If you're not a fan club member, sign up for free here.

Those who were not fortunate enough to win a pre-sale code will have the opportunity to purchase a maximum of two tickets starting tomorrow at 11AM PT. Each ticket will jump to $100 apiece and can be bought at AXS.

All proceeds from the show will be donated to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and fans are encouraged to bring canned goods and other non-perishable items for further donation.

Earlier this week, the 2017 Grammy nominees were revealed and Metallica expectedly landed one of the nominations. The surprise, however, was that their song "Hardwired" is in contention for Best Rock Song rather than Best Metal Performance, which led us at Loudwire to wonder if the Grammys no longer consider Metallica a metal act.
