As you've probably heard by now, former Smiths frontman and perpetually ill singer Morrissey had to cancel his North American tour due to a lung infection. And according to a Rock NYC concert review of Cliff Richard's concert over the weekend, Moz is still in the hospital.

Richard, who was one of of England's first and biggest rock stars back before the Beatles hit it big, was supposed to perform with Morrissey at a show at Brooklyn's Barclay's Center, which would have been Richard's first U.S. concert since 1981.

Richard still made the trip to New York and ended up playing a solo show at the intimate Gramercy Theater. From the stage he announced that Morrissey is actually a lot sicker than we think and still remains under hospital care to this day. He also said that, despite everything, he welcomes the opportunity to support Morrissey on a future tour.

In the meantime, Morrissey's next album, ‘World Peace Is None of Your Business,’ comes out on July 15. While we count down the days until its release, here's one of the 737 spoken-word promo videos Morrissey made to promote it:
