Earlier this past week, a teaser trailer surfaced that showed System of a Down's Shavo Odadjian in a studio working with an editor looking at some footage of the upcoming Mortal Kombat X video game. Now we know that his involvement came in the form of crafting a new TV spot for the game itself.

The commercial wasn't expected to surface for another couple of weeks, but made its debut over the weekend. In it, we see word start to spread in offices and businesses that a fight is about to take place and people begin to rush the streets in order to catch the throwdown. All of the frenzied action is set to the music of System of a Down's "Chop Suey." You can watch the spot above and look for Mortal Kombat X in stores and available digitally on April 14.

In addition to the Mortal Kombat X placement, Odadjian and the band have been involved in something else that will no doubt interest System of a Down fans. The bassist stated in a recent interview, "There's a very good chance [that System will return to the studio]. I don't have a date. We've written some songs. We're keeping it to ourselves. We're getting back to the bulls--t of being together."

Fans can also look for System of a Down playing scattered dates throughout 2015. There's a good chunk of the shows taking place in April, with the band's only U.S. performance during the run taking place in Inglewood, Calif. at The Forum on April 6. To see all of their upcoming dates, click here.
