Naches River Drowning Wednesday Ruled Accidental

An autopsy has confirmed that 51-year-old David Nagle, whose body was discovered in the Naches River near North 16th Avenue, died as the result of accidental drowning.

A release from Yakima Police Department spokesman Mike Bastinelli Thursday afternoon said that Nagle's body showed no signs of trauma, and that the police would continue to investigate the death.

Nagle's body was found in a pool of water in the Naches River Wednesday morning by a man walking along the Yakima River Greenway near Highway 12 and north 16th Avenue.
