If you like fishing in the evenings during this time of year, you'll appreciate a few extra hours after sunset.

Now that salmon season is done, night fishing will be allowed for warmwater fish species on the Columbia River.

The rules take affect today and last through December 31, for those still wanting to find some bass, walleye and burbot.

The section open stretches from the Buoy 10 to the Old Hanford Townsite power lines.
