Panhandler Found Dead With Thousands Of Dollars in Drugs and Cash

Yakima Police say a man found dead in his car on East Yakima Avenue Tuesday night was a well known panhandler that worked in the area of First and Nob Hill. Police Captain Rod Light says the man died of a drug overdose. He says officers found over $1700.00 cash and heroin, with a street value of over $83,000.00. Officers were called to the scene after someone saw the man in the car. Police are witholding the mans name until next of kin can be notified.
