Legendary rocker Paul McCartney has been pretty famous for a pretty long time, but the former Beatle got a taste of what it feels like to be a nobody last night following the 2016 Grammys in Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, McCartney was denied entry into Tyga's post-Grammy party yesterday (February 15) at the Argyle in Hollywood. Sir Paul apparently attempted to get into the party twice with Beck and Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins. His trademark cheerfulness didn't seem to subside even after he wasn't allowed to enter the Young Money rapper's soiree.

"How VIP do we gotta get?" McCartney was seen saying on video. "We need another hit, guys. We need another hit. Work on it."

"Next year," cracked someone in the crowd.

When asked about the incident, Tyga scoffed "I don't know what you talkin' about" and indicated he didn't even know that there was something going on involving a famous musician denied at the door. Bow Wow was also on-hand and he seemed genuinely surprised that McCartney was turned away.

"There's no way," a shocked Bow Wow said.

"Maybe it's the fact that we're younger than Paul and it's the fact that it's a new generation and we really club, we really go out," Bow Wow says. "We go to Argyle, like this is a spot we go to. We're familiar faces. They know us."

Maybe McCartney is trying to connect with the young people since he spent last year collaborating with Kanye West and Rihanna. Bow Wow was one of the night's Grammy co-hosts, while Tyga...wasn't.
