Pearl Jam are now part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but as with many acts that have featured a changing lineup, not everyone was recognized. The most noticeable omission by the Rock Hall was onetime drummer Dave Abbruzzese, who manned the kit on tour and in the studio for the band during the height of their rise to fame. Abbruzzese was vocal about his disappointment in the Rock Hall snub, and one of his former bandmates has gone on record saying he feels that the drummer should have been there as well. During an appearance on SiriusXM's Feedback, guitarist Mike McCready spoke on a number of topics including his thoughts on Abbruzzese.

"Dave was integral at the part when we were starting to take off, and we were playing at Lollapalooza and we were opening for the Chili Peppers and Soundgarden and all that stuff," McCready said. "And we had to have a drummer because things were blowing up really quickly and he was there right when that was happening." The drummer joined the band for the touring of their breakout debut Ten, then recorded with the group on Vs. and Vitalogy.

McCready continued, "He rode that wave and helped us through that, and so I felt like he should've been a part of that and he should be acknowledged because he was an amazing drummer." Hear McCready's comments in the player below.

The guitarist was appearing on the show to promote his new book, Of Potato Heads and Polaroids: My Life Inside and Out of Pearl Jam. The book consists of Polaroid pictures he had taken throughout his career with some of the stories behind the shots. McCready is currently making the press rounds, even sitting in with the Roots on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (June 6).
