We've seen artists get involved with hologram technology in recent years as a form of entertainment, but while we may eventually get a Perry Farrell hologram, there is so much more involved with the introduction of his forthcoming venture Kind Heaven. The vocalist has been teasing an immersive theater experience for some time now, but earlier this week he and his partners held a press conference to reveal more details about Kind Heaven.

Essentially, Kind Heaven will be an experience for those attending, including not only music, but a fantasy adventure, food stations, bars and much more. "The idea came from a very vivid dream. I saw Kind Heaven as a city from overhead as if I was a bird or an angel. I came down upon the city, landed on the city, watched a girl pickpocket someone who was passed out on the street, run away and there I was in this place," Farrell told Forbes magazine. "So I started to storyboard the whole thing. When I finished the storyboard came the music. I did the tracks with Tony Visconti, but that came later."

Farrell says he envisions Kind Heaven as the next "new scene." "As we know, [scenes] always are built around music. Youth counterculture goes out to experience nightlife, listen to music, dance, socialize and in the last 50 years, since I’ve been alive, it’s gone from rock and roll to hair metal to metal to alternative or punk rock, disco, EDM and now bottle service and now what cause I’m not going out of my house now. I don’t want to go and pay $2,000 for a bottle of vodka. It’s not interesting. But if you told me, 'Come out, you can walk around and you have a chance to experience for the course of two hours, or two days if you want, every square inch of that building which is thought with kindness, excitement in mind...'"

The vocalist says that Kind Heaven has the ability to change things up too, providing new experiences and storylines for those who attend. And Farrell himself may be there ... in hologram form. While there may be live acts playing in Kind Heaven, there could also be holograms in either musical or acting form.

When asked by Farrell who his dream hologram performer would be, he offered, "Off the top of my head it would be amazing to sing with a David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Jim Morrison, I could probably sing with anybody. Really, I would be very accommodating in the harmonizing, would be such a treat. But when I talked to you about the holograms I didn’t mean performance, I meant acting, like scenes. I don’t know if I’ll get to do this but it would be killer to have a holographic porn of myself. I haven’t pitched that one to them yet."

Farrell's Kind Heaven immersive entertainment hub is expected to open at the LINQ Promenade in Las Vegas in 2019.
