The sequel to the Nintendo DS' Pokemon Trozei is shaping up to be quite the candy killer.

Nintendo has unveiled Pokemon Battle Trozei, which will feature all 718 pocket monsters in a much simpler form than fans were expecting: a puzzle game. On the bottom screen, you must match the scattered, randomized array of Pokemon in lines of four, where on the top screen, a battle is taking place between your Pokemon and a threatening enemy type.

Matching the randomized Pokemon on the bottom screen will cause your Pokemon on the top screen to attack the enemy, with the four-matching Pokemon determining the attack type. Adhering to the elemental mechanics of the series, prepare to link up Pokemon faces according to the enemy Pokemon's core weakness.

Pokemon Battle Trozei feature multiplayer puzzle matches and will come out on March 20 for $7.99 on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
