Much of the adult film industry (porn!) is located in Southern California.  Thanks to some 'do-gooders' in the legislature who passed a law that required performers to wear condoms when shooting (OK, THAT came out wrong!), the number of applications for permits to film have dropped by a whopping 95%!
Towards the close of 2013, approximately 480 permits to make smut were filed in the city of Los Angeles alone.
This year, only 24 permits have been filed.

Porn permits cost $1,000.  The obvious unintended consequence of this law has cost the county in lost revenue roughly $450,000.

You can bet Ron Jeremy's mustache that the makers of such entertainment have NOT stopped making flicks or started wearing 'Jimmy Hats' as prescribed.  After all, porn is a multi-billion dollar industry!
Have they scaled their production down, or simply gone underground?

Do you think this is a good example of government 'Nanny State' intervention gone wrong, or is this what you expect from your representatives, legislators and elected officials?
