My whole entire life I have struggled and argued with people about Prince.  Way back in the day, it took some convincing that he was a rock guy. I always said he added the flashy stuff so he would stand out. So he did. But, you isolate all of that flashy Prince stuff and you got a fantastic musician. I might actually have to say that he is as good as Eddie Van Halen, almost, and better than Hendrix and Clapton. That is what I say. Now that he is gone, I remind myself that this is how I feel. Thank god I found those solos of Prince on Youtube. These are my favorite! Hands down. I am happy to say that I got to meet Prince a few times in the 80's. 2 times in Philadelphia, 1 time in Salt Lake City Utah and 1 time in LA at the Whisky! He was extremely down to earth. The first time I met him, I had no idea who he was. I don't even think he did. My friend Robin and I partied with him and what I think was Morris Day but, I can't remember, at a bar on the Main Line in Philadelphia! Good times!

Here are my favorite guitar solos from Prince that I could find on line. These are nothing compared to seeing him live. Love him and miss him!

Prince brought the rock!
