Update: Red Hot Chili Peppers have issued a statement on Anthony Kiedis' condition and postponed their Tuesday (May 17) show at the iHeart Radio Theater in Los Angeles. The statement reads as follows: "Due to Anthony Kiedis' hospitalization from complications from the intestinal flu on Saturday evening, the Red Hot Chili Peppers regretfully must postpone their upcoming concert for iHeart Radio on May 17.  They would like to extend their gratitude to the fans for the outpouring of well wishes.  Anthony is expected to make a full recovery soon."

The final KROQ Weenie Roast radio festival taking place at the soon-to-be-shuttered Irvine Meadows Amphitheater will be remembered for one unexpected band who did perform and a headliner who had to bow out of their appearance. Red Hot Chili Peppers were scheduled to headline, but had to pull out at the last minute when frontman Anthony Kiedis was rushed to the hospital suffering from severe stomach pains.

Bassist Flea addressed the crowd, stating, "Anthony is on his way to the hospital right now and we're unable to play this evening. We are devastated about it. We're really sad. We love you so much. We live to rock. .... But unfortunately there's a medical thing that happened and he needed to deal with it." The results of Kiedis' hospital visit had not been revealed at press time. The band is scheduled to play a show at Burbank's iHeart Radio Theater on May 17. Stay tuned for updates on Kiedis' health and the status of their next show.

But while the Chili Peppers didn't get a chance to play, Blink-182 did. Not initially advertised as part of the bill, the band played their first show since the recent announcement that they had a new album ready to go. The group will be playing a full tour this summer, but the Weenie Roast gave Blink a chance to get out onstage in front of their SoCal fans.

Blink-182 now has Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba holding down the spot that Tom DeLonge once held in the band.

Blink's show also included the live debuts of "Built This Pool," "Bored to Death" and "Brohemian Rhapsody" alongside such fan favorites as "Josie," "All the Small Things," "What's My Age Again" and "Dammit."
