Sad news from the world of comedic radio. The great Stan Freberg has passed away at the age of 88 from pneumonia. Stan ran the world in the days when families would gather around their radios like people now flock to their TVs. He was a true renaissance man -- author, recording artist, animation voice actor, comedian, radio personality, puppeteer. In his later years, he even worked as an advertising creative director and hosted a popular radio program, "When Radio Was."

More than 70 years in the industry. Thank you, Stan Freberg, for all the laughs.

Rest in peace.
