'Rowdy' Roddy Piper, never a man to mince words or not speak his mind, was a recent guest on WODZ to promote an upcoming 2CW Wrestling show and Piper's Pit in Utica, NY.

The conversation naturally turned to Ric Flair, a long time friend of the 'Hot Rod', who recently appeared with Piper on the ABC show 'Wife Swap.' Flair recently had a warrant issued for his arrest stemming from a spousal support payment issues.

"If guys like Ric Flair hadn't kept the image up, inside and outside the ring, then we never would have gotten over that hump. And nowadays, guys can go out with their families and they don't have to defend wrestling in each and every school and bar and hotel that you go to. But at one time guys did have to. We [Ric] were the guys who sacrificed that, and we were happy to, so we can get to where we are now. So with a guy like Ric Flair, it's easy now to look at him and say whatever the press is saying, but Ric Flair is a such a tremendous asset to professional wrestling. Without him, I'm not sure it [wrestling] would be the same. I've done a lot of things wrong. I love Ric Flair to death and I wish him all the love in the world."
