As much as he would have liked to have ditched the Pats from New England in the Super Bowl this past February, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll is setting his sights on getting rid of a different PAT this off season. The P.A.T., as in "Point After Touchdown."

The Seahawks club as a whole is one of many teams in the NFL that are looking to change the now almost-ceremonial extra point attempt following a touchdown. Their reasoning is akin to many others in that it is nearly automatic (a 99.3 percent success rate last season league-wide) and, frankly, not very exciting.

According to his official Twitter feed, coach Carroll and the Hawks proposed to the league the following:
