This is the first year I've been a Rams season ticket holder. When they left for St. Louis after the 1994 season they broke my heart. I still supported them as fervently as I had before but it wasn't quite the same. I cheered myself hoarse when they beat the Tennessee Titans in the 2000 Super Bowl but as great as it was to be a fan of that team the words "St. Louis" in front of Rams might as well have been an asterisk. Great, but...

When the Rams announced their return to Los Angeles after long and contentious owners meetings back in January and showed renderings of the new stadium they planned to build (it will be ready for the 2019 season) I was over the moon. I was almost as happy as when the St. Louis Rams won the Super Bowl... almost. I promised myself if they ever moved back to Los Angeles (my hometown) that I would be a season ticket holder and it happened.

I was hoping to be able to purchase better tickets since I got my virtual place in line just 15 minutes after the deposit window opened January 16th but the Rams let folks purchase up to 8 season tickets each. The best I could get my hands on were on the 10 yard line in the 69th row. Actually a pretty decent pair of seats but not exactly what I was hoping for. The upshot of it is that a lot of the folks who bought seats in my section have been selling their tickets to visiting fans. I wasn't expecting to be surrounded by Seahawks fans at a home game. They were all really nice and respectful. They were taking in the amazing atmosphere and mentioned how excited they were to be able to see another game here on the west coast.
