The Seattle wide receiver, out with a hip injury since August, began workouts at the Seahawks headquarters in Renton on Monday.

Harvin was acquired from Minnesota in the off-season and was expected to have an instant impact on the Seahawks' offense. However, a hip problem that required surgery has kept the talented player on the shelf. He had been rehabilitating in New York, returned to Seattle this weekend, and began running. He went through team workouts on Monday.

“Percy is back and he’s ready to take the next level of training,” coach Pete Carroll told reporters at his Monday afternoon press conference. “I know he’s very enthusiastic about getting going and getting back, and all. So we’ll just have to see what happens."

Harvin won’t be eligible to return from the physically unable to perform list until after the Seahawks’ Week 6 game against the Titans this coming Sunday at CenturyLink Field.

In other injury news, center Max Unger is expected to return to the line up this week after missing the past two games with an arm injury.
