Before Sunday's last-minute 13-12 road victory over the Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver and special teamer Ricardo Lockette was most infamously known as the player Russell Wilson was trying to throw the ball to that ended in a devastating interception to virtually end Super Bowl 49.

In the second half, Lockette had a vicious collision on a kick coverage with the Cowboys' Jeff Heath. Lockette remained motionless for a number of minutes before being carted off of the field and flashing a thumbs-up to the concerned crowd.

Today it has been learned that Lockette has use of all of his extremities, however did suffer a concussion that will require surgery today to stabilize ligament damage in his neck.

His season has come to an abrupt end, but he is expected to return to full health for 2016.
