Seattle hits the top spot in one poll, and remains a top five team in most of the other major rankings.

The Seahawks took seven of 12 first place votes in the AP Pro32 NFL Power rankings, ahead of the 7-0 Kansas City Chiefs.

At CBSsports.com, Pete Prisco has the Seahawks at #2:

They are showing they can win at home and on the road. That defense is special, especially in the secondary.

Brian Billick at Foxsports.com also has Seattle at #2:

The Seahawks have won 11 of their last 12 regular-season games and are 6-1 to start a season for the first time in franchise history. But most importantly, this team just looks like they are having a lot of fun.

The analysts at ESPN.com have the Seahawks holding at #4:

Percy Harvin's return is looming, which is a scary thought as the team is already averaging the fourth-most yards per pass attempt.

Finally, Ellott Harrison at NFL.com has Seattle moving up a spot to #4 as well:

Seriously, when is the last time a team had two corners as good as Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner? Maybe two years ago, when the Jets had a healthy Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie -- though the latter actually played his best football after Revis was lost near the beginning of last season. And no other elite corner tandem has Browner and Sherman's size. One thing about Browner: Dude has to quit tackling himself.
