Reports are filtering in that the Seattle Seahawks have negotiated a trade with the Minnesota Vikings to acquire the services of standout wide receiver Percy Harvin.

Harvin was a leading candidate for the league's MVP  award last year before suffering an ankle injury and missing the last seven games of the season.

Pending the passage of a physical, the Seahawks are expected to give up multiple draft picks (including their 2013 first round selection - #23 overall).

The "dynamic playmaker" will be reunited with former teammate Sidney Rice and former coach (offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell)

Outspoken Seattle corner Richard Sherman tweeted "Well if does come I think he understands that he won't get to wear the #12" (Harvin's jersey number in Minnesota has been retired by the Seahawks organization in honor of the fans.)
