I grew up in the '70s and the '80s when no one wore seat belts, including kids on school buses. I don't think anyone really thought about it. Now that I have kids, and it isn't the '70s and '80s, I just assumed that there were seat belts on school buses.  I was wrong. How can this be?I am shocked and horrified that after so long seat belts are not school buses. This is the 2000s, for crying out loud.

Reports say that it is because of funding that most school buses do not have seat belts. This is a bunch of crap. Reports also state that they make the seats high enough that it makes them safer. So higher seats on a bus is safer than seat belts? I don't buy it.

I will be taking my kids to school until they get seat belts on the bus. These are our kids! Our future. They need to be safe.

Do you think the schools need to spend a little extra money to put seat belts on our school buses? Take the poll and let us know!
