Seattle vs. Green Bay In a Battle of the Bands Is No Contest
A Milwaukee radio station's vow to boycott all Seattle-based musicians and bands until after this weekend's NFC championship game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers, gave me pause to wonder:
If this weekend's game were between the two teams' regional bands, who would win?
Before you answer, keep in mind that around here it's not all that surprising to see something like Alice In Chains members Jerry Cantrell and Sean Kinney photographing themselves along with former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan at Seahawks games. (See the picture above, which Alice In Chains posted on their Instagram account just last Saturday.)
OK, now let's compare those regional bands, shall we?

Heart > Violent Femmes
Nirvana > Boris the Sprinkler
Pearl Jam > Couch Flambeau

If this were an indicator of the final score, the Hawks should win 237-2 (Packers avoid a shutout thanks to "Blister In the Sun.")
