Serj Tankian is a man of many talents and his latest artistic pursuit is a new interactive art exhibit titled 'Disarming Time.' In addition, the System of a Down singer has launched a new IOS/Android App titled 'Eye for Sound.'

Tankian's audible and visual experience 'Disarming Time' will open to the public at the PROJECT Gallery in Hollywood on Friday, Nov. 15. The exhibit features 22 of Tankian's original art pieces -- paintings, mixed media and sculptural works paired with a track of music composed specifically for each visual work.

As for the 'Eye for Sound' app, those with a set of headphones and a smartphone will be able to scan and recognize the art pieces immediately and cue the associated audio track and other content.

Tankian says, "The urge came to me in the discovery that music has become so temporal and devalued in the world today, so I wanted to create an exclusive experience...something unique for someone to hold so they become the only person to experience this. I'm aiming to have people see the music and hear the art. Using a modern app, we're able to take Kandinsky's Synesthesia to a whole new level."

A private reception will be held at the PROJECT Gallery in Los Angeles, with the official opening coming a day later. The public exhibition will run through Nov. 21 during the gallery's daily hours of 12N-6PM PT. For more information on the 'Eye For Sound' app, click here or download it here.
