After releasing the single "Cut the Cord" earlier this summer, Shinedown have finally revealed details of their upcoming album. The disc will be called Threat to Survival and will arrive on Sept. 18.

In a post on the their Facebook page, the band states, "We can't thank you enough for your patience, we have poured our entire being into these songs and into this album. We are beyond proud and can’t wait for you to hear it….we believe it is worth the wait."

Frontman Brent Smith adds in a press release, "Threat to Survival refers to that primal instinct in all of us that determines how we respond to crisis and conflict – the idea of ‘fight or flight’ and the choices we make in any given situation. This album represents those deciding moments for us as a band.  It’s a collection of scenarios that made us who we are, and is, by far, the most autobiographical album we’ve created to date.”

The band also unveiled the artwork for Threat to Survival, which depicts a snake crushing a large egg against a red background (pictured). The disc is available for pre-order at iTunes, and the track listing can be seen below.
