Slash and Duff McKagan Perform Together at Slash’s Seattle Show

The main body of the performance featured Slash and his band, Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, but being as how the group was in McKagan’s home base of Seattle there were many wondering if there might be a reunion to take place.
The fans did not leave disappointed as McKagan walked out with the group for the encore and proceeded to rip through the GNR-era favorites ‘It’s So Easy’ and ‘Paradise City’ for those in attendance.
After the performance, Slash took to his Twitter account, where he posted, “Thanks to Duff McKagan for coming down & jamming a couple tunes as well. Made it a perfect night. #itssoeasy#” According to GNR fan forum, Gunsnfnroses.com, this marks the first time in five years that the guitar great has played ‘It’s So Easy’ live.
While the members of Velvet Revolver have reconvened from time-to-time over the last few years in hopes of selecting a new frontman, actual performances from the band have been few and far between. The group did actually make nice with Scott Weiland to play a benefit show earlier this year, and the GNR portion of the band took the stage at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, but other public appearances have been sparse in recent years.
