This year has seen what was long thought to be a near impossibility: Slash rejoining Guns N' Roses. Along with bassist Duff McKagan's return and Axl Rose, the band now features three of its original members as they've put aside past differences. The iconic guitarist recently gave his first interview since coming back to the group and said "everybody's really getting along great."

Slash spoke with Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer on WZLX (audio below), commenting on how everything is in the Guns N' Roses camp. Talking about the gigs they've played so far, the axeman said, "All the shows have been great that we've done so far. Last night was only our third show on this leg and then we did seven shows prior to that."

Kramer then asked if everyone was "playing nice," to which Slash said, "Everybody's playing great. Playing nice, yeah. Everybody's getting along and everybody's playing great, and the shows have been awesome." He went on to note that he is still coming to grips with the reality that the reunion has taken place, adding, "We all were pretty positive that that would never happen, so it's still sort of blowing our minds. It seems so surreal to me, you know. But everybody's really getting along great and I think everybody's come a long way, and it's all cool."

Guns N' Roses kicked off the 'Not in This Lifetime' stadium tour after performing a handful of shows, including two appearances at the Coachella festival. During their down time, frontman Axl Rose stood in as the singer for AC/DC as Brian Johnson remains on the outs at risk of "total hearing loss" if he continued to play with the rock titans. Myriad acts have been tapped to open for GN'R on this tour and a full list of stops can be seen at our 2016 Guide to Rock + Metal Tours.
