Are you afraid that a condom alone won't protect you from those pesky STDs? Good news, my friend! Let me introduce you to the Scroguard.

As you can see, via the very informative (and hilarious) informercial above, the Scroguard is basically latex underwear that you put on, in addition to a condom.

So, instead of just your penis being protected, your whole pelvis is protected! Hallelujah!

According to the official Scroguard website, this is how it works:

Scroguard™ is the first product sold in the U.S. that is designed to cover the skin in the genital area that is not covered by a condom. It is worn with any condom to reduce skin-to-skin contact in the typically uncovered scrotum and pubic region.

If this sounds a bit ridiculous to you, it is. However, there are some STDs that can be transmitted through skin-to-skin contact, so, it's not as ridiculous as you might think.

What I think will be ridiculous, though, is trying to explain to someone who isn't aware of the Scroguard's existence exactly what it is and why you're putting it on. I can only imagine the look of confusion on your partner's face, as you pull out your Scroguard and strap it on.

Oh, and just so you're aware, the Scroguard can be washed and re-used. So, you truly only need one... (Insert vomit emoticon here).
