You Can Buy Hard Alcohol In Local Stores On June 1st

Shopping for my Cinco de Mayo weekend festivities, I noticed this sign for the first time. This year is going by so fast I forgot that June 1st is less than a month away!

Last year we voted on Initiative 1183 for the privatization of liquor sales. That means that local grocery stores like Albertsons and Safeway and even convenient stores can sell hard alcohol like tequila and whiskey.

This sign is proof (no pun intended) that we’ll be able to buy Jagermeister along with the rest of our groceries in the near future.
