Sometimes the best laid plans go awry, but it can come together in the end. At least that's one of the big takeaways from the new Stone Sour video for "Song #3."

The band teamed up with director Ryan Valdez for the shoot, which in itself is a story about a video shoot gone wrong. Corey Taylor walks into the set, where he's quickly dressed, handed a blonde mullet wig, has his makeup done and walks onto the stage where the shoot is taking place and his band is waiting. But the shoot is obviously a bad idea and Corey cuts it short, storming off set and undergoing a costume change as do his bandmates. But the second video shoot attempt goes awry as well, before Corey just shucks it all and joins his band in their natural element as the cameras finally roll.

"Song #3" is currently climbing the Active Rock charts as one of two songs recently released off Stone Sour's forthcoming Hydrograd album ("Fabuless" being the other). The disc was recorded at Sphere Studios in North Hollywood, Calif., with producer Jay Ruston. The artwork and track listing for the effort can be seen below. Hydrograd will be released by Roadrunner Records on June 30, but you can go ahead and pre-order the disc at this location.

Stone Sour are in the midst of touring, with a big summer planned sharing stages with Korn on the "Serenity of Summer" tour. The group also just announced an international tour leg for November with the Pretty Reckless taking part in most of the run. See all of their scheduled shows here.
