Although men are much less likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer it does happen. Males comprise about 1% of breast cancer diagnosis each year. According to the Susan G. Komen foundation for the cure, 2,140 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011 and of those approximately 450 will die from the disease.

There have been a few male celebrities that have been open about their diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and are helping to raise awareness about male breast cancer.
