One of my buddies pointed out that Target has these giant-sized candy bars in their holiday section. Sure enough, I found they had half-pound Reese's peanut butter cups, one-pound Hershey bars, super-sized York peppermint patties and the largest Snickers bars I've ever seen!
Dear Reese's Company,
Can you make your paper cup holder things that hold the peanut butter cups better so they stop attaching themselves, ripping the chocolate lining from around my peanut butter cup? Does this happen to you, too?
Well, Halloween means I'm taking my kids trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. We don't go out for very long, but just long enough to have a small haul to tide them over for a while. Although most parents execute a 'candy tax' on walking with their kids door-to-door, here are a few treats that may never get devoured by my children.
Much is made of artists’ muses: Pablo Picasso had Marie-Thérèse Walter, Pedro Almodóvar has Penelope Cruz and Nicola Freeman has…candy necklaces and lollipops. The British art student sculpted humongous approximations of those and other sweets for an exhibition currently showing at the University of Wolverhampton.
