I have always been fascinated by pirates. Everything from the bad pirates to the good ones! (If there is such a thing!) So naturally, I love Talk Like A Pirate Day!
A few weeks ago was one of my favorite days on the calendar. This past Sept. 19 was the annual "International Talk Like A Pirate Day," when all are encouraged to speak with the voice and language of, well ... pirates.
One teacher at a school in North Carolina really got into it by wearing a pirate costume, complete with plastic sword, to school. What happened next is almost unbelievable.
