Kings of Chaos are an all-star touring project that features Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour), Glenn Hughes (Black Country Communion) and Steve Stevens along with Velvet Revolver/ex-Guns N' Roses members Slash, Matt Sorum and Duff McKagan. Their only North American show of 2013 will be Nov. 18 in Los Angeles at Avalon Hollywood for a benefit gig called 'Tokyo Celebrates the Dolphin.'
While Slash and Axl Rose have had a very tumultuous relationship (if you can even call not talking to each other a 'relationship') in the years since Slash parted ways with Guns N’ Roses, the guitarist won't rule out the idea of a reunion at some point.
‘Here’s to Us’ is the perfect anthem for the monster year that Halestorm are having. Kicking off 2013 with a Grammy win for ‘Best Hard Rock / Metal Performance’ followed by a successful tour with Bullet for My Valentine, the band has released a lyric video for their latest single from their 2012 album 'The Strange Case Of...' Given the memorable year the band has had, the song has taken on a whole new meaning.
Rock supergroup Velvet Revolver has been struggling with lineup issues for quite some time now since parting with vocalist Scott Weiland. Conflicting stories on Weiland's place in the band have been prevalent for a year now, but Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash just made it public that the band is "very quietly" looking for a new singer.
Just because Slash's recent touring is coming to an end and Myles Kennedy is heading back to Alter Bridge, that doesn't mean the creative process stops. In fact, the guitarist confirmed via Twitter that he's already thinking about the follow-up to 'Apocalyptic Love.'
Slash has been seen in animated form before, whether it be in his 'Bad Rain' video or appearing in a 'Phineas & Ferb' film and music video, but he's never quite looked as he does in the 'Angry Birds Space' game.
Tragic news for fans of veteran blues-rock band Ten Years After. The band's founding guitarist and singer Alvin Lee has died at the age of 68 after complications during "routine surgery." The career of Alvin Lee is incredibly distinguished, and as a result, rock and metal legends Geezer Butler, Bill Ward, Slash, Joe Satriani, Glenn Hughes and others have paid tribute to Lee in a series of memorial statements.
Slash has been making his way around the world in support of his 'Apocalyptic Love' album, and during a recent visit to the Czech Republic he shared his thoughts on the Randy Blythe manslaughter trial and his perception of the legal system from the outside.
Slash is digging a little deeper into his 'Apocalyptic Love' album with a new video for the track, 'Anastasia.' The clip is a live performance of the song, presented by I Heart Radio, that shows off the guitarist and his band's live prowess.
Today marks a day of reflection for many as we remember the tragic 9/11 attacks in New York, Washington, D.C. and Shanksville, Pa. Amidst terrorism, there were also great acts of heroism with many sacrificing their lives to protect others.
