The first Sunfair Parade was held in 1961 in midsummer, part of a Sunfair, sponsored by the Yakima Sundusters, a promotional group of the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce. In 1972, the parade was moved to September to coincide with the opening of the Central Washington State Fair.

The Yakima National Little League will hold summer league registrations tomorrow (Friday, June 15th) from 6-7 p.m. at Elks Memorial Park. Cost is $60 and is open to all Valley players aged 5-12.
