Unless a buyer is found, the future of Yakima's one of a kind Track 29 is in doubt. Tenants have been given eviction notices to be out by the end of May. The Track which has been in Chapter 11 bankruptcy is being managed by Yakima attorney Matt Anderton. Anderton, acting as the trustree has hired Seattle broker Collier Real Estate to try and find a buyer for the property, which includes the Track and adjacent buildings which house several state agencies.  If a buyer cannot be found, the Track is expected to be torn down. Meanwhile Del Matthews, who put the property into bankruptcy is trying to repurchase the Track to keep it open.  Matthews said "I have investors in place who are willing to buy the Track and keep it open."
