The New Goodwill is Officially Open for Thrifting!

As of about 10:00 a.m. on the morning on November 5, 2015, the ribbon was cut and people started piling in to go on a treasure hunt. The new Goodwill is now open and I was there to witness the whole thing.

I arrived at around 9:15 a.m. with several people already in the store. These are local and regional managers, store employees and other notary people making sure everything is ready for the grand opening - and it was grand to say the least!

Although the official first customer went to a happy volunteer as part of a promotion, I was the first 'unofficial' customer. My item of choice? I found a Nintendo DS with AC charger for only $7.99. What a deal! I couldn't pass that up.

It was neat to see all of the items in store including all of the donated 'new' items, too, like the animal hats for kids and some great toys.

All in all, a great turnout and I wish the very best for this store and its staff. I know I'll personally visiting this for as often as I can. You never know what you're going to find!
