Totally and completely embracing the world of pop punk, the Offspring’s fifth studio album, ‘Americana,’ is rife with catchy hooks and instantly familiar songs. While it was a bit of a departure from their more alt-rock focus, the record was received with open arms. It debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart and moved roughly 175,000 copies in its first week alone. It eventually rose to No. 2, marking the Offspring’s highest-ever chart position. Since Nov. 17, 1998, ‘Americana’ has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide, going five-times Platinum in the U.S.

Needless to say, it was a smashing success.

And now, in 2015, the LP will see its first vinyl reissue since it hit store shelves in ’98. Slated for release on Feb. 24, ‘Americana’ will be pressed on 180-gram red wax, an exclusive color edition.

The record has been out-of-print for more than 15 years, so this will no doubt be a must-have for many collections. It will be sold exclusively at indie shops that are a part of the Department of Record Stores. You can find member stores here -- and if you don’t live near any of them, you just might be able to pick it up online.

As you wait for ‘Americana’ to be reissued, enjoy one of the band’s most successful songs of all time -- and the first single released from the album -- ‘Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)’:
