Tool Return to the Stage Over the Weekend
It had been well over a year since Tool took the stage to perform but the absence from live playing is over. The band kicked off its brief winter run over the weekend in Reno, Nev., performing a set list filled to the brim with classics and fan favorites. While the band did not debut any brand new material at the Jan. 14 show in Reno, it’s pretty safe to say that fans were not disappointed by that fact, given the incredible 11-song set list.
The PRP posted the band’s set list for this particular gig, which culled songs mostly from ‘Aenima,’ ‘Lateralus’ and ’10,000 Days.’ Sure, it would have been nice to sprinkle some ‘Undertow’ or ‘Opiate’ classics into the mix, like ‘Sober’ or ‘Prison Sex,’ but no one’s complaining!
If you weren’t there, or you didn’t nab tickets to any of the upcoming dates, since the shows sold out on the quick, you can pretend like you were and soothe the sting of being shut out by watching some fan-filmed footage of ‘Schism.’ It’s about seven minutes long and you can indulge from a distance.
