Townsquare Media's new Yakima operations manager, Jim Trapp, has hit town.

No, seriously -- you might've heard the breaking glass, grinding metal and hissing air bags Monday morning. He totaled his Nissan after another driver struck his car head-on when he tried to get up Summitview Avenue to our offices for his first day of work!

"This is not my idea of a welcome wagon," Jim joked.

Kidding aside, Jim brings some serious radio chops to the Yakima Valley. He's moving here from the Puget Sound area after leading turnarounds at Seattle's KJAQ in Seattle, KXTE in Las Vegas and WMMS in Cleveland. He's also held leadership positions at radio stations in Houston, Phoenix and his native Sacramento, Calif.

In Yakima, he'll head up day-to-day operations at all of Townsquare Media's local stations -- 94.5 KATS-FM, 107.3 KFFM, 92.9  "The Bull" KDBL, News Talk KIT, 1460 ESPN Yakima (KUTI) and Mega 99.3 (KMGW), and he'll directly oversee programming for KIT and Mega 99.3.

Despite his jarring welcome, Jim's excited to be here.

"Happy to be joining the remarkable team at Townsquare Media," he said. "They made quite an impact."
