Whoa! Christmas is already on the way! Which means our local Marines are already gearing up for the 100th year of Toys for Tots. We need to help by stocking them up with lots of brand-new toys for needy children in our area.

Our first chance is at this weekend's annual bike run in Yakima.

Riders of all types of motorcycles are invited to gather at 11 a.m. Sunday (Nov. 6) in the parking lot of Albertsons and the Salvation Army at 16th and Lincoln avenues -- enjoy some yummy chili, hot apple cider and some really good fun. Bring along your donations and drop them off with Kelly West.

After that, it's KSA at 1 p.m. -- the ride leaves from Albertsons and makes its way to Wray's Food and Drug, 401 W. Nob Hill Blvd., where the Marine Corps will have an M1A1 tank parked! Whether you make the run or not, you can get your photo taken with the tank. The Marines will be loading the day's donations into the tank, so feel free to drop toys off there, too.

See you Sunday and Semper Fi!
