Just when you think they searing heat of summer is done for the year, Mother Nature reminds us that 2017 is the hottest summer ever recorded for a reason.

Triple digit heat is returning by Tuesday to the Yakima area.


Today calls for breezy conditions with strong wind gusts, which is not going to help the many firefighters battling the Norse Peak Fire.

Wildfire season has been rough this year and shows no signs of slowing down yet.

By the time the wind calms down we are back in the 90's and up to 100 on Tuesday, so anyone willing to do a raindance should probably get started now.
