Leading into the holiday weekend, head of Twitter Music, Bob Moczydlowsky, decided it would be a good idea to take the new Foo Fighters' album, 'Sonic Highways,' for a spin. Fortunately for fans, he captured a snippet of the new music and shared it with his friends and followers:

There are a couple of things that catch our eyes (and ears) in the above tweet. First and foremost, it's the fact that we're listening to just a handful of seconds of brand-new Foo Fighters music on vinyl. While the new record isn't set for release until Nov. 10, Moczydlowsky got an early listen with a test pressing. We get the feeling this is approved, too, since the Foo Fighters' official Twitter account retweeted his video.

The second thing we're jealous of is the fact that Moczydlowsky is listening to the album on a McIntosh MT5 turntable, one of the best listening experiences available. With a hefty price tag and high engineering standards, the MT5 is no doubt worthy or spinning 'Sonic Highways.'

The Foo Fighters' new album -- their eighth studio LP -- features eight new tracks recorded in eight cities across the country. Get details on the album here. While the band only has a few dates currently scheduled -- including a headlining stint at the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans as well as a gig in South Africa -- we get the feeling they'll hit the road in full-sport of 'Sonic Highways' soon. Stay tuned for more on that as it develops.
