Do you ever feel like you are overworked and underpaid?  Well, if you live in the United States, you probably are getting shafted when it comes to vacation days and paid holidays - at least, compared to the rest of the world.

According to a report by the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR), almost one in four Americans (23%) has no paid vacation and 23% have no paid holidays, while most of the world’s developed countries offer workers at least six paid holidays a year.

Every member of the E.U. (European Union)all European Union require AT LEAST a minimum of four weeks or 20 days paid vacation per year.

Many other countries demand employers afford even more than that.
France is the most generous, mandating 30 days of paid annual leave.

Here are the rest of employee-friendly nations:
United Kingdom - 28 days,
Denmark/Norway/Sweden/Finland - 25, and
Germany - 24.

Austria and Portugal mandate a combination of paid vacation and holidays equalling 35 days.

After the U.S., Japan and Canada require the fewest number of paid vacation days, with 10 each.
