Rainy weather over the weekend caused renewed flooding and closed several local roads. Here's the latest:

UPDATE at : Washington Avenue between 48th and 16th avenues has REOPENED. Wide Hollow Road between 80th and 96th avenues remains closed.

FLOODING UPDATE: Sandbags are now available for the public at 1216 S. 18th St. in Yakima. You must fill/ load your own bags. Sand and bags provided.

CLOSURES REPORTED:
• Ahtanum Road between Goodman Road and South 10th Avenue

The National Weather Service predicts another storm will make its way over the eastern slopes of the Cascades and the surrounding areas tonight (March 6). More rain could cause more flooding with the already saturated ground and swollen creeks and stream swiftly running water into Monday.

The Naches River's flood stage is 17.8 feet and the National Weather Service says it could reach flood stage about 11 Sunday night. Residents should be prepared.

The following cities are affected: Yakima, Appleton, Cle Elum, Cliffdale, Ellensburg, Naches, Sunnyside and Toppenish.
