ASK Al: The Interview with Timmy!

The man has been my idol and role model since I was 5 years old, listening to the lyrics of “Yoda” before even seeing “Star Wars” and thinking the song was about a bully.

I never said I was a smart kid, but I did have great taste in music. I first got to meet “Weird Al” Yankovic at the Central Washington State Fair back in 1997 and again in 2007. But with most meet-and-greets it’s a handshake, look at the camera and you’re done. It was such a treat to actually talk to him one on one, even if it was for a brief five minutes.

Here’s my interview with the great “Weird Al” on the eve of the release of his new album, “Mandatory Fun,” which is out in stores TODAY and available wherever awesome music is sold!
